For centuries, hawthorn was closely associated with the heart—not only in traditional remedies, but in folklore, love and protection. The Heart’s Forgotten Remedy draws upon that history, placing its deep red berries within a loose movement of softened greens.
The artwork began with a photograph taken while walking with Vera. It was gradually developed through layers of colour, texture and movement, allowing the berries to emerge from the surrounding hedgerow without losing its wild, tangled character.
A unique, one-of-one original artwork, produced on Hahnemühle German Etching paper and presented mounted and framed, ready to hang.
