Selene at the Gate – Moonlit Teesdale Landscape Artwork

£65.00

An open gate leads towards the dark Teesdale hills as moonlight breaks through the trees. Small points of distant light trace the valley, while the land and branches fall almost completely into shadow.

In ancient Greek mythology, Selene was the personification of the moon. Here, she appears beyond the gate, illuminating an otherwise familiar landscape and turning it into something quiet, mysterious and inviting.

Selene at the Gate began with a photograph taken while walking with Vera, my German Shepherd. It was carefully developed through deep colour, texture and expressive mark-making to create a unique, one-of-one artwork.

The piece is presented in a natural light-oak frame with a clean white mount and real glass. It comes ready to hang, accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity and a personal note telling the story behind the work.

One walk. One artwork. No editions.
