A robin pauses between raids, looking entirely innocent despite having spent the morning stealing worms from the allotment. With its bright breast, alert eye and unmistakable confidence, it has all the character of a bird that knows it will always be forgiven.
Robins have become familiar companions to gardeners, quickly appearing whenever freshly turned soil presents an opportunity. Bold, watchful and surprisingly territorial, they are never far away when there is work—and food—to be found.
Stealing Worms from the Allotment began with a photograph taken while walking with Vera, my German Shepherd. It was carefully developed through colour, texture and expressive mark-making to create a unique, one-of-one wildlife artwork.
The piece is presented in a solid light-oak frame with a clean white mount and real glass. It comes ready to hang, accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity and a personal note telling the story behind the work.
